Pregnancy Portraits, Eastbourne.
Leigh and Dominika met me at The Sussex Baby and Toddler Show in Hastings in March. A great couple, with an open attitude to photographic portraiture, they were keen for the ideas we discussed at the baby show, waiting until Dominika was just pregnant enough to come for some pregnancy photos. Like most ladies who come for pregnancy photos, she was a little nervous, but we soon overcame that and produced this gorgeous family portrait. There is a sense of trepidation, but also hope and support. Leigh dotes on Dominika, like any proud father-to-be should. It was great to see, and really reminded me of how I felt when we were expecting Morgan. Proud, and nervous, but excited as well. I'm sure Leigh will be a great help when it comes time for Dominika to do the hard bit. You can see it in how he looks at his wife. That's why I love this shot. It evokes a very strong sense that they are there for each other, and engage themselves into parenthood together. It is a difficult journey, but such an exciting adventure..

SLR Tuition 15th June 2012
So, you have your SLR, a few lenses, time on your hands, and have read every article on the interweb for taking better pictures. But you're still disappointed with your results, and there is a family party in the summer, you want to take better photos?
This is for you, then..
I have been a photographer for 12 years. From keen amateur, to the professional I am today, I am still learning, but have years of experience to teach wannabe photographers.
This course is not going to teach you how to be a portrait or wedding photographer. It is to teach enthusiasts how to use their cameras better. To get keener results from everyday situations, to see the light, and learn how to control your camera for better results.
From understanding exposure controls, f-stops and shutter speeds, to I.S.O. and depth of field. I will give you the confidence to take your sophisticated SLR off of 'A' mode, and to take control of your photos, and enjoy photography again. After all, it is for the love of capturing images you got involved in photography, isn't it?
I will take a small group of people from my studio in South Street, get to know you all, show basic controls in camera, then we shall go around Eastbourne, to the seafront, and throughout the day give group education and one-on-one tutoring to enable you to use your SLR with more confidence.
The cost? £125 per person. Tea and coffee, biscuits, and a lunchtime meal provided.
The next class is scheduled for FRIDAY 15TH JUNE 2012
The day will begin at 0930, for registration and hello's, with tutorials starting at 1000 sharp. Lunch at 1300 with afternoon wanders and tuition, finishing up back at the studio at 5pm. Confident and ready to go shoot the best photos you have ever taken!
